History of Francis Barnett Motorcycles

Above on the page there are several PDF Manuals for FRANCIS BARNETT Motorcycles.

One of the oldest British brands, Francis-Barnett, after desperate attempts to stay afloat, ceased to exist in 1966.

Almost half a century later, the company is revived by two new models based on the retro Classic 125 from the Herald Motor Company.

Kestrel and Merlin are two new projects of the reborn brand. The first is a 125 cc classic, the second is a scrambler.

According to the statement of the new owners of the company, a lot of components produced at the factories of Great Britain were used in the design.

Compared to the $ 2,540 Classic 125, the new bikes are clearly overpriced, with the Kestrel at $ 5,380 and the Merlin at $ 6,920.

The workmanship of both motorcycles, however, evokes thoughts of Chinese roots.
