History of Moto Guzzi Motorcycles

Above on the page there are several PDF Manuals & Wiring Diagrams for MOTO GUZZI Motorcycles.

At the initial stage of development, the company relied on participation in motorsport disciplines to promote its name and draw attention to road models.

Moto Guzzi owns a number of innovations that have had a significant impact on the development of two-wheeled vehicles.

Revolutionary was the rear suspension swingarm on the 1928 GT model with shock absorbers, which allowed the rear wheel to be sprung for improved ride comfort.

In 1950, Italians were the first in the world to use a wind tunnel to improve the ergonomics of bikes.

In 1955, engineers built the first motorcycle engine, the 500 cc Grand Prix V8 racing engine with two camshafts in each cylinder head. With this unit with a capacity of about 80 hp. a two-wheeled combat projectile could develop up to 280 km / h.

Moto Guzzi's state-of-the-art products are unique in the Italian motorcycle industry and globally.

Rough, but charismatic, the bike with an unusual longitudinal arrangement of V-shaped twin-cylinder engines, because of which the cylinder heads stick out in different directions and allow for identification of bikes from a kilometer, are absolutely different from the high-tech Ducati and the aesthetic MV Agusta.

First of all, the touring enduro V85 TT with an 853 cc twin-cylinder air-cooled engine with 80 hp deserves attention and honors.

The unit is a classic Moto Guzzi architecture with a single camshaft, rod tappets and rocker arms. The SUV is equipped with a cardan transmission and spoked wheels (front diameter - 19 ", rear - 17"). With the V85 TT, the Italian brand hit the mark - the touring enduro was very well received by the audience and is one of the brand's bestsellers.

Constructive simplicity and a kind of stylistic straightforwardness are the features of Moto Guzzi motorcycles, sometimes jokingly called "Italian Urals". In particular, this characteristic applies to the classic model V7 III, from the variety of versions of which the eyes run up.

The bike is armed with a V-shaped twin-cylinder unit with a volume of 774 cc, delivering 52 hp. The V9 is powered by an 853 cc 55 hp engine.
